Alden is usually a pretty reliable guy. Last night was not usual.
I'm rather certain that the combination of Alden's melodious vocals, Jeremy's smooth as butter bass (ing), Michael's sweeter than sweet guitar playing, and Zach's rhythmtastic drumming managed to implant a baby within my body.
Now, we'll rewind a bit to where we left off.
Wednesday was a rather good day I have to admit. School passed extremely fast, but with few notable occurrences. Directly from school, I put in my usual time at the office I work at, from which I departed to hit the gym before starting my shift in the rockwall room.
I don't think I've ever worked at CBRC on a Wednesday. I met new kids, which was strange, and had children that I see all the time display complete confusion as to why I was working that day as opposed to the regular guy (Jared?). It was a short but sweet shift, and by sweet I mean no more aggrivating than usual. I got to watch bits and pieces of Jumanji (best movie evarrrrrr) in between belaying the youngins and granting the ok's for getting cheese its.
I left roughly five minutes early to get to the talent show on time. Doing so was far beyond worth missing out on the 72 cents I would have made if I where to stay the full shift.
Aside from Alden and company, my two favorite acts where pretty much the same as everyone elses: The Rapid Panthers and Tanner/Lauren.
A few weeks ago, I heard Sarah and Gareth conversing randomly about their upcoming talent show audition, but without actually telling anyone what their where doing. I think they undoubtedly receive the Sean stamp of "most original."
I wanted to put a clip of their performance (sorta) here, but the video isn't available to embed. Heres a link instead, for the 1 person reading this who didn't go to the show: Check it.
Yea, Gareth, Nolan, Sabrina, Sarah, and Brenna, you are pretty much my heroes.
Then we have the instant classic that was Tanner Smith and Lauren....something.
Again, most of you already know of the situation, but for those that don't heres about how it went down: Tanner informed people that he and Lauren would be performing Hey Soul Sister, and I think thats what they auditioned to play.
However, upon getting on stage, they declared that they would play something "a little more them."
So they played an acoustic, edited version of Baby Got Back.
The crowd went wild, while I imagine Qualheim was backstage throwing the world's biggest hissy fit that something CHANGED.
Supposedly, Tanner is facing rather severe discipline for this... Much to the dismay of most RHS students.
During first hour, AP lit was rather anxious as to what the outcome of Mr. Smith's perfomance would be. When the phone rang near the end of class, the room went silent as Mr. Porter answered the phone. The grin that spread across his face confirmed fears: Mr. Riggs wanted to see the brave young lad in his office.
As he exited the classroom, nearly everyone broke into applause.
It's moments like that that make me exclaim Go Bombers.
Moving on to today.
I managed to completely forget to set an alarm on my phone. I usually have my iHome as a backup, but during the night that somehow came unplugged. My mother is usually my failsafe, but she was gone early for a doctor's appointment.
So, with absolutely nothing to shock me into consciousness, I snap awake at preciesly 6:30. I was kinda mad that my body didn't take advantage of the chance to miss out on first hour by "accident." Oh well.
Luckily, first hour was productive. I earned extra credit by grading an essay and giving it the same score as the jerks at collegeboard.com awarded it: a 5 out of 9.
During second hour Ben and I, per Jared's instruction, took a trip to KFC to try their Double Down, a rather enticing food substance: chicken, bacon, cheese, sauce, and chicken.
No buns, just chicken. Win.
After Jared (who works at KFC) said we should go try one, we figured "well, we definetly aren't going to do anything productive in here anyway." and away we where.
Oh wait, KFC doesn't open until 10am. We got there at 9:30.
I guess Ben and I sort of had it coming, what with constantly making fun of Jared/his woman. Oh well, I do it out of love.
Fourth hour passed in a haze of Pokemon dicussions (that I did not partake in, as I have never actually played a Pokemon video game.)
I didn't go to 5th hour, again, as I had an appointment at Sylvan learning center to take my final for the online class I'm enrolled it.
I sort of felt insulted by the degree of difficulty.
Question #14. What may be the result of a family's home burning down?
A. They will lose their jobs.
B. They will get raises at job to pay for a new home.
C. A new car will be a necessity.
D. They will be homeless.
I can't even crack a witty one liner about that one.
The rest of the day was simply chillaxin at Tyson's, pizza, and going to the gym.
High of tomorrow is 72 degress.
I'm going to effing die come summer.
For those of you who have ever made physical contact with me (sort of view, I don't do well with touching) you are probably well aware of the fact that I absolutely radiate heat. This is lovely during the winter as I don't have to bundle up like everyone else, but I kind of melt during the summer.
You had better soak up all my writing now, I don't think puddles are very skilled in the art of typing.
